Scalable Evaluation Training Framework
With a diverse portfolio spanning countries, sectors, and implementation partners, the Independent Evaluation Office at one of the youngest multilateral development bank recognised the need for a shared understanding of evaluation across the institution. As the Bank scaled its operations, it became critical to build capacity among internal teams - some directly involved in evaluations, others more peripherally - while also laying the groundwork for future knowledge sharing with external stakeholders.
We designed a five-module programme delivered over six months, with 20+ hours of live training supported by pre-reads, exercises, and digital toolkits. Separate tracks for operational and non-operational teams ensured relevance, while formats like case simulations, gamified quizzes, and reflection exercises boosted engagement. The framework is now a reusable, scalable asset - designed to evolve into future train-the-trainer and digital learning initiatives.
